Talented forward, Casey Cooke, was the Dabber who made the difference with a cracking finish against a side they were expected to lose heavily to.

Cooke’s goal came 10 minutes after Harrogate’s Mitch Hanson was sent off for a reckless foul on new signing Sean Highdale.

It was a desperately-needed three points for The Dabbers and their first win of the season but they still occupy 22nd place in the Skrill North with Guiseley and Workington also picking up wins.

Manager, James Briscoe, will be relieved to see his charges piecing together a much improved run of form after losing their first six league games conceding a whopping 20 goals and only scoring one.

The Men in Green face fellow strugglers Workington in their next Skrill North encounter and could move out of the relegation places with a win.
